poor pippin :(

My poor rattie has a tomour the size of a ping pong ball on his side, and it is rotted.. I am so very sad about this but tomorrow he is going to be put down :(.

the vet said that even if he removed it, it would grow back possibly worse then before. :(:(... During the examination, the vet also found another tomour that is growing under his armpitt, it is smaller; about the size of a pencil eraser.

I feel sick about this whole thing.

You're obviously doing the right thing for Pippin, Jynelle. I am so sorry. :(

Yes you have to think about the quality of life. I soon will have to face this decision with my 14 year old Springer Spanial. This will be one of the worse days for me. Being tough is a very hard thing to do, but you know he will be in a better place. Many hugs from the 22 of us.

P.S. I love the way you have two rats, "Pippin and Merry!" ;) I hope Merry's not alone too long and gets along ok without his buddy...I'm sure he'll feel sad too. :(

Merry is very sad that his brother isnt around anymore :(. Nimbus and Merry are getting along ok though, better then i am. I had to work all day when he was being put down. it was very depressing, to have to fake smile all day.
