I decided to go on the road to play coffee houses with the "Batonga Wonga Blues".

My life was going nowhere.

It was time to strike out on a new endeavour, seeing adventure just past the horizon I cashed in all my aluminum cans, picked up the guitar I couldn't play and stuffed two pairs of socks and three clean pairs of underwear into my pockets.

I was going to find adventure or adventure was going to find me.

I took one last over-the-shoulder look at my home and hit the bricks.

Batonga Wongas.

Sounds like an idyllic South Pacific island- complete with bronzed topless women in grass skirts. Visions of Anthony Hopkins and Mel Gibson cavorting with the nubile natives seemed inviting.

That may have been a Hollywood set, but I was going to find out on my own.....

A dream, that's all a man needs..........
