Ivan heading my way

hey everyone! Ivan is heading my way. I'm about 30 minutes north of I-10 (everything south has been evacuated). We are doing our last minute stuff getting ready. We are going to wait it out at home. This is Belle, Missie, and Thor's first hurricane. We have a nice shelter with screened in windows for the three of them when it gets a little closer. I just wanted everyone to send up a prayer for us. I'll let ya'll know how we are after everything is over. At the moment they are expecting us to be without power for 2 weeks. We have a working generator, gas, and a working water pump, so we should be good to go. Just think about us down here and send up a prayer or two please.

You have my sympathy! I'm so glad he's not headed towards us as we've had enough. However, I just wish he wasn't going to be near anyone. Please make sure the generator is far enough from the house so as not to start a fire. Someone lost their house that way. Keep safe and I hope it won't be too bad. We'll be thinking about you.

I was just reading some updates on Ivan, please be safe, it looks like it might be a really bad one. Dukes mom mentioned about the generators, we lost two homes in the neighborhood up here in Canada when we had the ice storm. Their generators were at the back of the house and they vibrated until they touched the house. So please be careful and hold your furbabies close.

Hey! I'm sending my prayers to you, but it looks like Mississippi is getting it too. I live far from the Coast though, but they said I'll be getting the tropical storm with 60 mph.. i know this isn't bad as a hurricane, but i'm really scared!! So Good luck with you!

I'm with Val.. we really didn't need it down this way again. I'm glad it didn't hit us.. but I wish it wouldn't hit anyone at all.
