Costumes

Evidently, my mom isn't going to show off for herself, so I'll have to do it. She made the cutest costumes for her friend's dogs. They are going to an event for the Findlay Humane Society today and wanted to enter the dogs in a costume contest. My mom threw these together in like 2 days.

Here is Scooter, the Hot dog...

And although his sister, Sunni wasn't there to try on her costume, there was a stuffed Airedale available for modeling. Here is the sidekick, catsup and mustard that Sunni will wear today

And finally, this is a hot dog costume I found online...for $27!! I think my mom's is better, but I may be biased....

I was going to post but I wanted a picture of Sunni in her costume as well as Scooter in his and I was hoping to get one of them together. But I didn't get that done and now Imagestation is down so they can work on it. I am not sure I know how to post an attached picture but I will try.

Scooter and Sunni got third place in the contest. A rabbit won first place ( I forgot what he was dressed as and another dog won second) I can't remember the details of what they were wearing but I will ask April and Cathy tomorrow and report back. Cathy said alot of people told her that Scooter and Sunni should have gotten first because of their costumes but I guess the judges didn't agree. The rabbit won first place last year - seems kind of odd that the same animal would win two years in a row but since I didn't see him either year what can I say.

Scooter's costume came out of a book that April bought called "doggy FASHION" by Alison Jenkins. I am not sure where she found it.

I came up with Sunni's myself after we decided that she should go as catsup and mustard. I don't think it was very original myself but I couldn't think of anything better.
