Warning-Sticks in Windows

A few days ago we had an in home demonstration for new windows in our home. The salesman noticed we had cats and related this story. He had recently been in someone's house who had some windows that no longer stayed open. In order to keep them open the owner had them propped up with sticks. Well, you guessed it.......their cat accidentally dislodged the stick in one of the windows and it came down, severing one of the cat's paws. The salesman said the cat survived the ordeal and was heavily bandaged when he was there so it was a fairly recent accident. My heart breaks for the little kitty who lost his paw. I just felt compelled to pass this on in case it may help one reader out there and possibly save one kitty from a terrible injury like this.
