Hi! Everyone! I was looking at a local shelter and come across a very beautiful kitty that has some unique markings and wondered if anyone has them before. A tabby that is black is somewhat uncommon or am I just smitten on the kitten? lol

How pretty! I havent's seen a black-on-black tabby before either! Some black cats you can see spotty or tabby markings in bright sunlight, but that's a very pretty kitty!
How gorgeous!
Very cute!
Just a little fact for you all.........a solid black cat will often show some tabby stripes when young (like the one in the picture) but as they mature his black will take over and he will be solid.
I have seen many Cats, but that is an unique,Very Beautiful Cat!
Hope he doesn't grow out of those stunning markings! Beautiful kitty!
Oh, I want to see too! The bmp file opens up to a blank page for me. Can someone copy it into a posting? PLEASE? Pretty Please?
(Obviously, my whining needs some work).
My niece's tuxedo cat Selena has "shadow stripes" in the black parts of her fur. Also, a black leopard or jaguar will often have "spots" visible in some light.

How fun. do you know how old he is? Like Jen mentions, this is not uncommon in young ones. My Joxer is a solid grey kitty and he had shadow stripes when he was a baby.:D
I've never seen a black tabby either like this.Very pretty and
I think unusual.Pretty Kitty.:D
Lizzielou: Thank you so much. Now I can see this gorgeous creature and the unusual markings. Look at those golden eyes! :D She's a beauty and she KNOWS it!Quote:
