Light a Virtual Candle
A fellow cat lover found this website and I wanted to pass it on. It's a beautiful website in which we can light a virtual candle, with a message; the candle "burns" for 48 hours. The URL is gratefulness.org/candles/enter.cfm. As its name implies, it deals with being grateful for what we have - and have had. May I suggest that those who are feeling especially "down" visit & light a candle of thanksgiving, thinking of the many things you have for which to be thankful - such as the unconditional love of a furchild, here or at the Bridge, family, friends, health, the necessities of life, *this site*. . .

I lit two. One in honor of my mom who passed away 31 years ago tomorrow (October 10th) at the young age of 44. Also for a very dear friend, a true hero, John Bertolini. He was my mentor who got me involved in firefighting and the CT State Police Auxiliary. He died on 2/15/87 at the age of 47 after fighting a fire. :(
Great site. Thank you for sharing.
