New camera!!! Lots of memory!!:D Made my first video with sound!!:D It is 90 seconds and 17MB of mpg:eek: I can't use Windows Movie Maker because I have Win 98. What can I use to make this file smaller? Is there anything??? What format can I convert it to and what do I use to do it?? Thanks in advance for any help.:rolleyes:

When I taped short video with my digital camera it would only download as an AVI format. Richard used this to convert it to something that people could see on here. Only problem is if you download the free version it put's it's name across the middle of your video. At least it might get you started.

Use use this to convert your files to .avi format,
then you can use Windows Movie Maker to shorten them and save them to WMV format.

I did download the software (Win-Avi) that Lori told me about. It converted my 8MB *.MPG clip to just over 1MB of *.WMV It is pretty pathetic (my skills) but I am going to post it:D Thanks!!
