Omg!

I took Spencer to the vet on Saturday to be neutered, so that I could get him a female rattie friend, and while on the operating table, he stopped breathing.
The vet said that he stopped breathing almost as soon as the gas was put on him, and, even though they gave him oxygen, they were unable to resusitate him. :(

I feel so bad for putting him through the surgery and blame myself for his death.

I'm having a very hard time dealing with this right now...

Rest in Peace little Spencer man.... Mommy loves you and misses you.

Cori, please don't blame yourself. It's hard not to, but you need to realize that things happen. You didn't know that it was going to harm him... what happens happens. :( *hugs*

I am so sorry to hear about Spencer. I'm sure he knew he was deeply loved and well taken care of by you. Oreo, Skittles, Peanut, Punkin, Nugget, Sweet Pea, Fred, Oscar, and Daisy will keep him company up there. :(

omg i am sooo sorry Cori!! Dont blame your self, this is a horrid thing that happened and if it was anyones fault it was the vets for putting to much gass on him :(:(

Oh how awful for you, you poor thing, I can imagine how bad you must be feeling, but don't be too hard on yourself, you were not to know and you were being a responsible pet owner.

I can appreciate how difficult this is for you to accept, and just wanted to send my love and hugs to you at this sad time, RIP beautiful little rattie.
