Prayers, Please!

My mom's very good friend lives right in the area of Florida where the hurricane struck. (Can't remember what its called.) She lives in a trailer, and they said those were hit the hardest. The news showed a picture of a different trailor park and they were blown every where.

My mom has tried contacting her friend but the phone just keeps ringing. I'm really hoping she is all right and evacuated to a safe spot, but you never know.

Punta Gorda is where my mom's friend lives. The news said that most trailor homes were destroyed and that the people there didn't have much time to get out because they thought the storm was headed towards Tampa. My mom still hasn't been able to contact her friend. :( I hope she is all right and her home isn't destroyed.

Thank You everyone! My mom just heard from her friend. She is ok and so is her trailor. But what surprises my mom is that she sat out the storm in the park club house, and didn't evacuate! But she was lucky and her and her house are ok!

Glad to hear your mom's friend is OK! I have two friends down there, that I have to call if I can find their phone numbers. Mary lives very close to Punta Gorda, and Naomi is in Margate. I'm quite sure the hurricane went right through both areas. :(
