Who ended up taking it? Was it the woman who was an animal lover or someone else? :)
No, we were going to take their offer, but theirs was $5000 less and we had to pay their closing costs and wait for them to sell the house. We almost accepted, then this offer came through. They aren't asking for anything and they can close anytime. Our new house is already ready, but we have to close this one first.Quote:

Great News Tonya, I have never been through the selling house bit, but I guess I will have to oneday, when I shift into the retirement village across the road lol, but i can imagine how stressful and invading of one's privacy it is.
Good luck in your new home, and remember to post pics, would love to see it.!!!
Congratulations! My mother-in-law has had her house on the market for a couple of months now and has dropped the price twice. I know you are relieved and looking forward to moving into your new home! :)
Great news, Tonya! I'm glad you don't have to keep having strangers come through your house, Whew, that is a load off!
Willie:)
Congratulations! So where are you moving to? Closer to ME? :)
YA!!!!!! Congratulations Tonya.
YOu must be in 7th heavon.
You know what the funny thing is? We'd just dropped the price down by $5000 yesterday, but the people that offered didn't see that. lol. They thought we were still asking the previous price, so we got what we wanted.Quote:

Congratulations! That must be a relief. When's the big move?
Tonya that is great news. I know you guys are so relieved.
Congrats!!!
Great news Tonya!!!!
That sure didn't take long............congratulations that all of it went in your favor!!
Years ago I was selling a cabin in the mountains and people would make an offer and then ask for the craziest terms.
Then one day a woman walked in "said, I'll take it" no questions, no problems, no worries. Found out later that she lived only a few blocks from me.
Thank you, everyone. I really liked these people too. They were the type of people we'd hang out with. They actually stayed quite a while and chatted with us both times they came.
The latest move in date is August 30th. But we're going to try for sooner. It all depends on how fast we get this pest and roof stuff finished.
I'll show pics of the new house for sure! I'll have to show before and after pics because we can't afford furniture for it until we get our money from this house. lol. And most of the furniture I'm getting is coming from Costco or special ordered so it'll be a month or two until my house is furnished. I even have a game room. We're getting a pool table. :D
