Dear Diary - 4th of July

Dear Diary,

I had a nice Fourth of July. The boys went on the Harleys. I didn't get to go but I was dressed right just in case!

Eddie you look absolutely breathtaking in your red bandana! You were definitely dressed for the occasion! What a wonderful surprise for Shirley to show up to celebrate with you as well!:D

Sounds as though you had a delightful Independence Day!
Many of Shirley's Missouri relatives come around our house. One of them is named Stubby- he has only about 1/3 of his tail and waddles.

We agree that those people who throw fire crackers all around should be beaten with sticks. However Miss Julie said she prefers the firecrackers to the lightening and thunderstorms we have had the last two nights. They interrupted her beauty sleep.

The bandana is very cute, but then HH is always a pillar of fashion!

Glad to see the 4th was a happy day for the Ees and M. Shirley! A lovely time to gather with friends and visit.

Eddie, you look quite dashing in your little bandana. HH looks ever-so-sweet. I don't care if she was trying to bonk you on the head. Maybe she was trying to tell you about Shirley coming to visit earlier... maybe she wasn't a surprise visitor, and HH knew all along that she was coming. You need to pay attention to Edwina more! :D

what a great 4th of july......makes me recall the weekend we were there......

First of all you think you're going to have a relaxing afternoon, then Shirley shows up - and so close! What excitement! I sure wish your mom could interpret what you conversation was about....do squirrels understand kitty talk and vice versa?
