Bird Taming: Attempt #1
Today's Lesson: these bird's wings are NOT clipped!!!
Betty spent her time outside the cage doing laps from my bathbubble basket to the towel rack behind me. She did spend lots of time chirping and being interested in me, so I guess we're off to a good start.
Here are a few pictures:

What? I'm SO pretty? Aww, thanks!! Tell me more about myself...

The closest I got to her tonight:

So, yea. Gertie wasn't all that thrilled with being outside the cage. This is where she was during Taming Attempt #1:

She did chirp a lot, but only when Betty was chirping.
We shall see what Attempt #2 holds...AFTER their vet visit tomorrow, complete with wing trim. ;)

Awww they're SO cute!!! Sounds like a good start! Their wings AREN'T clipped??? Hopefully, once you get their wings clipped, taming will be much easier. Good luck at the vets! Keep us updated on the process!! :)

Betty has to be the prettiest bird i've ever seen.
Do you think clipping their wings would be good while living with kitties?
-
Nope....I wonder what that guy at PetSmart was doing when he was cuting their feathers...
Yes, we'll need to clip their feathers to tame them. I think just at first, right PCB?? But no worries, they are only allowed out of their cage in the bathroom....without kitties. ;)
