**Dawn pictures!**

Dawn is finally done with egg laying and is back to her usual sociable self, so I took some pictures of her this morning.

Here is a pretty rare one, of her flying. She usually only flies to get to me if she's separated.

I took her by the door where the light was better so the flash wouldn't go off. Flash always washes out her colors so much. I really like this one. I think she is unusually bright for a female.

This one is funny.. she JUST got done scratching her cheek (I tried to snap it while she was scratching) and the feathers haven't laid back down yet.

Sometimes she sits on my hand and "exercises" without actually flying. I can hardly ever catch her at this but I did here, and I really like this picture too.

Awwwww.. Dawn is such a pretty birdie. I think Piper's in love. ;)

LOL, the coffee one is hilarious. Piper tries to sneak a few licks of coffee out of my mom's cup in the morning too.

Love the one with Tasha and Dawn too. It looks like they're having a staredown. ;)

I love the first picture. Yes, the natural light shows what a colorful girl she is!

Beautiful pictures! Seeing all these tiel pics makes me want to add a tiel to our family again. I sure do love those birds. We have one male at work and he is the friendliest social little guy you will ever meet. He loves to give me kisses and I take him out reguarly. I will have to take pictures of the little guy soon as I am pretty certain I will be bringing him home with me, hehe. :p

Dawn is GORGEOUS!!! Absolutely beautiful. I just love her! Great shots, and thanks so much for sharing. You need to post pics of your precious girl more often. ;)

Dawn is really beautiful. I love her colors and markings. I agree with you, she is REALLY bright for a female.

I love this picture. When my Shih Tzu, Angie, was alive I trusted her with Alex 100%. I used to put Alex on the couch next to Angie and then I'd go in the shower :D Sylvia & Harley HAVE to be outside or in a different room when Alex and Danny are out
:rolleyes: I let Syl get a little closer, but I still have to watch her, and I don't think I'll ever be able to trust Harley.

Diana, I too would have a hard time trusting a terrier breed especially since it is just in their nature to go after small critters. I'm sure some have coexisted just fine with smaller creatures, but it would be something like expecting a collie or border collie not to try to herd!

Tommy just utterly ignores Dawn, but Tasha is always curious and snuffling/watching her. She has never made any move to snap at her, even when she has flown by her a few times. That is the only time I get a bit nervous, when Dawn happens to fly by her head, but she rarely flies and Tash has never once given me cause not to trust her. I still probably wouldn't leave her alone with Tasha for any amount of time just for my own peace of mind. Willie used to stare and lick his lips when I had my had my RB parakeet, Bobby, out. That unnerved me so I kept them apart.

I do think Dawn is very brightly colored for a female. I actually thought she was a male for some time, till one day eggs appeared :p. I know Dawn is more a feminine name but that is what her coloring made me think of and in the end it ended up fitting her better than I would have thought. :)

She is bright for a female, I just love her colors. All of the pictures look so nice and even if the flash was on I'm sure they'd still look great. I bet she looks even better in person though. How cute she looks with the dog! Thanks for sharing all of these nice pictures.

Dawn is such a pretty girl! :) I love cockatiels, they have such perfectly happy and fun little personalities.

What great pics Jess! The ones of her sneaking some coffee and Tasha sniffing her out and "work out time" are so precious:D She's such a pretty, pretty birdie!!! I love her orange cheeks! Tell her Aunti Sandra says "Hi! Dawn!!!":)

But I must comment, those pics on your desk. I believe they are Thank you cards or something, that doggie has an UNCANNY resemblence to Ruby(mutt)!!

That's my desktop calendar! I thought the same thing that day, it's a red Australian cattle dog. I even snapped a picture of it and showed it in Ruby's picture thread. Hehe. I believe Ruby is a cattle dog mix if I remember right :)
