Do you think dogs get seasonal affect disorder?
I know it's a silly question. I'm just wondering if you've noticed your dogs getting depressed in the winter and perking up in the spring.
Jake is STILL happy and energetic! I'm thinking it's the sunshine. Maybe he gets the winter blues, just like me!
More environmental than season
My version of a Clover dog being half GP, smidge of Lab, and who knows what else is happiest when the weather is Cold, and/or when she is running over the hill after a deer. With summer here she is panting her head off, and much more sedate. So for her the cool weather of the Fall is refreshing and energizing. Of course she doesn't mind sampling the spring grass or garden snow peas. ;)
Her little brother Barney being part black lab and something doesn't really care what season is at hand. He is a continuous happy bundle of energy. :)

I have to agree the seasons have an affect on my dogs! The seem to be happiest in the fall and spring when it isnt too cold or too hot for them to run and play.
