:D Well, it got dark and noisy and rained but that was all the fuss. I lit candles just in case - but now the sun is out :D Me? I was just mad that I had to turn off the puter!!:p
OMG! LOL - That happened earlier! It was the weirdest thing I've seen - - blue skies, then 5 mins later - it was POURING.. and I was thinking "What?!"Quote:

Firefighter Phreddie suggests that's maybe *NOT*
a gud idea!
Save the "Candle Lighting" till AFTER the storm is OVER -
use a Battery Flashlight DURING the storm. PLEASE!
An Open Flame from a candle or an oil lamp can be an
extreme hazard IF the wind breaks a window, blows open a door,
or  damages the roof...
A knocked-over candle or oil lamp could set your house on  FIRE -
about the LAST thing you need to have happen!
Play it SAFE ~
AFTER the wind dies down - do some *SNIFFIN* -
to be sure you don't smell any natural Gas or spilled Gasoline...
THEN "Light the Candles" (or oil lamps) -
and NEVER leave them un-attended by an Adult.
Better *SAFE* :) than :( sorrie!

I'm glad we got out of there earlier than we planned!
Dayton - about an hour south of St MarysQuote:

I have a really good story though. NO batteries...LOTS of flashlights and not a single fresh battery - except for the remote controls and digital camera!!! ....so hubby is presently out buying some;) AND I lit candles in the inside bathroom - no windows, where we decided to grab the kitties and take cover and look at each other like total idiots. Soooo if and when the storms return - we are ready! Thanks Phred. I will take that scolding:o
Sure wish I had a battery and internet hookup for my laptop in the bathroom:rolleyes: ...my biggest concern was no PetTalk!!! What is wrong with this picture??
Well, I hope you guys can give me a heads up I haven't even had rain today some yesterday, but none yet. I wonder if it will "dissapear" before it hits me. Crossing fingers and claws. :p
