A great story.

During the initial days of the war in Iraq I watched the news reports with interest.

CNN hired a doctor who traveled with the troops as a reporter, reporting on some of the conditions the army medics had to endure. During one report, Dr. Sanjay Gupta commented that he volunteered to operate on a soldier who had a rather severe head wound-since there we no other doctors available to do a risky surgery....

It was a great story and I wondered what had happened to that soldier. It turns out that he lives in the next town from mine.

It's pretty amazing-considering the type of wound, the conditions that the Gupta had to operate in, and the use of drill to get to the clot...

Wow, proof that there is some sort of God out there...

I agree, that is one heck of a story! Its a miracle he lived! His wait time for the surgery was 13 hours I think it said!!
