Back from Dubai!

I had a great day shopping in Dubai yesterday! I was dissapointed not to find any water fountains at all! (I was talking to a cat-loving friend of mine who lives there, and she also wants one, so we are going to order them off the net, and split the shipping costs).

This really made me laugh - it's a mouse that chirps like a bird every time it is moved - I think it gave Ally a fright (look at the 2nd picture):

So funny! You're going to a beautiful place like Dubai, and of what are you taking photos? Cats! :)

That tabby looks so cute!! What a gorgeous boy he is!!!

It's so typical that our loved ones at home are ignoring the toys we're bringing! At least Ally seems to like her new bed! :)

And who's the guy under your hubby's car? A stray who's looking for a home and who knows there's a cat lover living in that house? :) It looks like a part of the ear is missing...

Yes it is - he allows me to get quite close to him now, and has really settled in well!

Kirsten - I trapped him a few weeks back with his sister and his mum(they were strays - eating out of dustbins next to a very busy road), took him to the shelter, and they fed him up a bit and neutered him.

I was allowed to release him either back where I trapped him (AS IF) or in a place of my choice - so he was released in my garden. The Mum and sister have not been seen since (they have probably found a food source somewhere nearby) but I was pleased to see him sticking around!

They clip off the top of the ear of all the TNR's to indicate that it has been spayed or neutered, so they wont be trapped and taken in again. (I know it doesn''t look very nice, but it has to be done)

OMG! the blurred Ally pic is priceless! That is just too too funny:D

WOW! Was it ever an early Christmas for Ally and Connor! You found some wonderful stuff for the furbabies!

UMMMMM, sort of...the kids got loads of T-shirts and clothes, and for myself I bought:

2 pairs of shoes (1 high heels and 1 pool sandals)
a book on.......................you guessed it.................CATS!!
and some bath mats etc from IKEA

I have pictures of cats in every country I have been. The poorest ones were in Sri Lanka:( I always tell F+T about when they don't want to finish their food but just like children they don't think they are meant;)

My first excursuion out of the house when I get off the boat is ALWAY to Pet Smart. I am glad to see I am not the only one who puts the babies first. It must have been like Christmas for everone, getting a bunch of new things. That first picture was beautiful and the one of the blurr was a belly buster!

I like that idea of the clipped ear to show at a glance that he has been fixed. That is a great idea...Less cruel than being trapped again and sent off to only find it was already done.

That first pic of Dubai is beautiful! And the cat is cute. Can't believe you found a cat that far away. You sound like me. I always look for animals where ever I go. I would have loved to have seen the cat run from that one toy. I would have hurt my stomach laughing. The cat under the car is cute, too.
