Snuggling with his best friend, Glacier. Pete adores Glacier and follows him around incessantly. Poor Glacier can't get a moment alone!
Pete is a special needs cat. Two years ago, he started having repeated urinary tract blocks for no reason---no infection, no crystals, no stones ect. He just blocks, likely from inflammation. We couldn't get it under control so my vet gave me two options--euthanize him or a PU surgery. Course, I live in the boonies and doing the surgery here wasn't an option. So Pete became a flying kitty. I put him on a plane to Saskatoon, Saskatchwan, where he had his surgery at the Western College of Vet. Medicine. They took wonderful care of him. He hasn't blocked since, but we are still looking for the cause of the inflammation which continues to flare up.
Pete came home from surgery a different cat. He had never been particularly snuggly with humans, but he's become a purring lap warmer since the surgery. He was just over two years old at the time. I think he had been sick for much of his life and just hid it very well. He's a much happier boy now.

Pete is so handsome and what a special boy to get to fly. Not many cats can say that. I'm so glad he is doing okay now and is a healthy happy boy.

I'm so glad to hear that Pete is a happy healthy boy now. My Cirrus had to have the same surgery and he's also much happier now too. :)

Pete is gorgeous. What good news that he is healthier and happier now after the surgery. I love all the pictures, but the opne of him draped over Glacier is just adorable. Scritches to Pete!

I am in love!! Pete is adorable!! I'm so glad that he is all well now. That photo of him laying over Glacier is too cute!! What a muffin Pete is!! I would love to hug and snuggle that cutie pie!
