Every spring we have a pair of mallards come hang out in the yard for awhile. They roost under the pines at night and graze under the bird feeders during the day. There is a river kind of close by and I guess this yard is a haven with all the pine trees. I hate to let the dogs out when they are out because Tasha chases them wildly and I feel so sorry for them. But they always come back shortly :)

Aren't they beautiful! There's a gorgeous pair of swans that return every year to the pond down the road. and I love to see them every Spring. I'll bet you have a lot of beautiful birds out your way, Jess! And what happier haven for two mallards than your beautiful place...even with T&T!;)
They are so pretty! Wish we would have some duck visitors, but I don't think would stay around. Since Josie or Ginger would be trying to catch them or chase them.
