geocities does not allow cross posting of pics. Most of us here use either imagestation.com or photobucket.com. I use imagestation so I'm not familiar at all with photobucket, but as far as I know they are both similar and offer free accounts.
Looks like you have the basic procedure down, you just need to put your pics on a site that allows the cross posting.
