Soon one will be your new American Idol 2004

Awwww... thumbs down for Jon Peter Lewis? I like him! Actually, it's his personality I love about him! :D Although I agree with your other thumb up's and down's.
-
I think Jon Peter Lewis is a good entertainer, but probably not an American Idol. I'm glad he made it into the top 12 though.
I like John Stevens. I love his style and he's only 16. I'm 23 and listen to Sinatra and the like. You can never go wrong with timeless music like that.

Thumbs down for George?!?
I love him, and he's so adorable personality-wise.
-
I really like George, but wish he'd big gutsier songs to show off his voice. I also like Amy and Fantasia, but I sense that Fantasia will be a right royal diva if she wins it :)

Go Jasmine, go Jasmine, go Jasmine!

Thumbs up to all the lady finalists, except Leah LaBelle. Nice girl, but I just wasn't moved. Maybe she was just trying to hard; or nervous. I was surprised Paula chose her. I was hoping the pretty, tall African American girl with the BIG hair would move up. I thought she had promise. I really don't care for any of the guys much this year, except George! I think he's a real sweetheart with a great soulful sound and me just makes you want to smile. Some of the song selections are the contestants undoing I think. In the end, I think Fantasia's going to win it. She was fabulous; a real natural with a fantastic voice. It will be interesting to see how they all do when they have to sing a song in a given catagory! If it's anything like last year, they ALL get better with each show. And look out for the "makeovers!"

I liked Susie, I thought Paula would pick her over Leah. I pick Latoya and Fantasia as the final two.
-
My money is on Latoya all the way. She was amazing.

John Stevens.. I couldn't believe he had a voice like that! I kept thinking, he could be the next "Dean Martin" or "Frank Sinatra". ;)

I was hoping the same! I voted for her in the Wild Card round....too bad she didn't make it. :( I hope the exposure is enough to jump start her career though.
I would also like to point out that Suzy Vulaca is not African American, she is Fijian American. (I'm assuming this is who you were referring to.) I am not trying to be rude, I just think it's an important distinction to make. :D

You're absolutely right, Kater, my apologies. I did know that!:o I feel the same slight when people assume my husband is Chinese followed by "Well, same difference." He's Japanese and no, they are not the same!;)
