I am going to colorado in june of corse the furkids are coming to!!!
i was just wondering could the altidute effects them like it does us ?? :confused: if so how and what is the best thing to do about does anyone know? :confused: :confused:

I live in Utah so I'm used to the high altitude, as are the dogs...I don't really have an answer for you, sorry.

my brother used to live way up in the mountains in colorado..he moved there when his chocolate lab Kaya was about 4yrs old. she seemed to be a little more out of breath when they went for hikes at first but then she got used to it- quicker than my brother i think! lol
so if this was me id probably take it easy with the activity for a while and ease them into it
My dogs are uswed to the area but it does tire out those not used to it . Just take it slower ,rest more and drink more fluids. I took a while to get used to it too. Glad you are thinking of all the things early.
