I have a 6 year old cat, half Siamese (Rosie). Sometimes the fur on her back will start twitching and her tail goes crazy. I just recently noticed that she's lost all the fur at the tip of her tail, about an inch worth. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this with any of their cats? What could it be? She seems to be healthy otherwise and is a pretty happy cat. If anyone knows what could be causing this, please let me know. Thanks!
I may be wrong but the tail twitching and fur moving may be her trying to spray. If she wanted to that would be what it looks like. May Bob will do the same thing and he will move his back feet at the same time. Someone saw that once and said that he was trying to spray. I also just saw a show on cats and the showed one spraying an area. Bob does exactly the same thing but he does not spray, thank God. Anyway, that is my guess on that.
I have no idea on on way she is losing the fur on the tip of her tail. Hopefully some one else will have a clue on that. You amy also want to give you vet a quick call, they may have an idea. Calling them is free.:D
Always take your cat to the vets, when somehing is wrong. At the very least ring them and get phone advice.
