What a scare!

The WHOLE West side of our town (where I live) had a huge blackout! Apparently a transformer started a fire over by the hospital. We were in school and the power went out at around 10:10am (Central) and we were instructed to stay there until further notice... We left school at 11:05 and classes will resume at noon. The power went back on at approx. 11:30.

I was scared just because of the fact that I couldn't get ahold of anyone, no phone, no food, no lights at my house. Eek!

We had a blackout for almost 48 hours here in Michigan back in September. Since I have a cordless phone, I make SURE I have a corded phone and lost of cangles on hand in cases like that.

Glad it didn't last long!

We had a huge blackout here too back in August:p Now that I think of it, it wasn't TOO bad, besides not being able to come on the computer. I really enjoyed looking at the stars at night;) I would be so scared too it the power goes out when I'm at school!
