What does it mean? It looks something like an ode to the Mandelbrot set or other fractal thingies.
I was going to do an image search for a pic of JFK and his dachshund that I saw a while back, but the logo has intrigued me!

I'm not sure either, I didn't read further, but if you click on the logo it brings you to a search result of pictures that reads: Searched images for gaston julia
Some cool looking fractals there, make good desktop wallpapers.
I noticed it too...I had no idea what it was. :p:o
Thanks! I forgot about clicking on the logo.
Gaston Julia was a mathematician and pioneer of fractals. I looked up his bio and he lost his nose while serving in WWI and spent the rest of his life wearing a leather brace over where his nose was.
Richard, no jokes, I don't know where he lost it :)
If anyone can find a pic on the web of JFK and his dachshund, I'd be very appreciative. It's driving me nuts :)
:( sorry, no luck here. I Googled a few different variations of "JFK's dachshund".
I found this tiny pic on the Smithsonian website, but I can't even tell what kind of dogs they are:

I found this on www.exoticdogs.com

Here is a larger version of the first picture, with everyone's names:

maybe I helped???:)
Oh, wow, I think that's the one! I found him with Macaroni the pony, but not with a sausage! Thank you :)
Thanks for the info about the Google logo. I could see it was fractals but had no idea about G.J.
Didn't know JFK loved dachsies:D
