Hey, I've never made a poll before, so I thought I'd try it.
It was suggested that an age-related poll be done in the "Physical Education in Schools" thread ... so I'm attempting it.
If I mess it up, someone tell me, and I'll delete it. :p

Sorry I didn't put a poll on my thread. :o I have no clue how to make polls on PT. The poll works on my side...looks good to me! :D
Worked for me! :)
Worked for me :)
I voted for the last option (which is obvious if you read my post in the other PE thread ;))
I voted for the first option even though I'm some-what on the fence. I think it should be required from grade 8-10 then optional in grade 11 and 12.
I sort of ride the fence. I LOVED PE in schools.
The way all the news stations talk about how America is an obese nation.... in that respect, I think it should be required. Kids need to learn to be active and not sit on their duffs eating crap and playing video games.
However... I have seen some PE teachers who are just mean and don't give kids the benefit of the doubt... some try and just can't do certain things well like others can.. (climbing robes, ect.) In that case... maybe it shouldn't be required. Not all kids are overweight from junk food.
I loved our PE teacher. I couldn't do a pull up to save my life, but I could hold myself up above the bar for a long time and she would allow us to do that instead. :)
That's how it is at our highschool. You only have to take two years of PE & most take it 9th & 10th.Quote:

I hated PE with a passion........BUT........I realize that it is necessary. Kids nowadays as it is don't even seem to KNOW what physical exercise is.
i totally agree!! all kids around here do is go home and turn on the playstation and park them selves there till dinner timeQuote:
