Vet Recomendation..Seattle area

Sorry for posting such a locale specific thread, but I am kind of getting desperate to find answer.

I know that we have people from around the world, but this one is only for the people who live in the Seattle area. I would take recommendations from anywhere because I know there are excellent vets all over, but I am unfortunately not rich enough to fly somewhere for a vet visit. I only wish that I was.:) Please feel free to read on however.;)

OK, for all the people who live in the Seattle are I am hoping that you can help me. I am looking for a vet in the Kirkland/Juanita area. I would be willing to drive a little if you have a vet that you really love. I live closer to the Juanita area, just for a locale reference.

Also, if you have a good one that is too far for me to drive to, please let me know because I find that good vets usually know each other and they may have a recommendation of one that is closer to my house. Also, I don't mind driving and I could take all of the health records to them to see if they could come up with something.

I would like one that specializes in kitties, but at this point I am not really picky.

I am asking because I am really starting to get worried about my little Joey girl. So while I am not unhappy with my current vet, she is just not the one that I have built up a relationship with. That one left the practice about 5 months ago. I would just like answers to her health issue.

I've used "the cat doctor" in Federal Way Washington. A few years ago, pookie bear had a cough...that no other vet could figure out how to 'fix'. ..the cat doctor vets took very good care of her, and seemed to know their stuff. they're a little pricey for the everyday vaccines, etc...but for specific things, they seem to really know their stuff. the address

For four years, I worked at Evergreen Veterinary Hospital in the Kingsgate area of Kirkland.

Dr. Marybeth Cullen and Dr. Douglas Iverson are excellent and both have saved at least one of my animals. :)

It looks like you've gotten some great recommendations already, but I just had to chime in.

Ruby as well as my RB dog and cat have all gone there (Dr. Susan Zakos is/was their vet). She's simply wonderful, such a kind woman who really loves animals. We became very close with her when Muffy, my RB schnauzer was battling cancer. She helped her (and my family as well) through a lot.

I really appreciate the recommendations.:D

andrea_NMAggie and RubyMutt yours are a little far north and south of me, but I will keep them in mind. They both sound great and if Cheshirekatt hadn't given me one that was so close to my place I would be calling them first.

Cheshirekatt I will most likely be calling yours. I mean if you worked there and you are still recommending them, that says alot to me and what I would call an excellent reference.:)

Well I will start there and see what I can come up with. Who knows maybe my vet will come up with something today, too.

Dr. Cullen stayed until 11 pm one night surgically removing a three foot ribbon from my RB cat Vinnie's gut. Poor little guy. She saved his life.

And Dr. Iverson stayed until midnight one night putting a chest tube in my shepard Petie affter he got hit by a car. And this was the day before Christmas Eve, mind you. They're good people.

Oh yes, I want to find a good vet too. Right now we use Banfield's Hospital in PetsMart. And it's cheaper cuz it covered most of the stuff even spaying. But it's like doggie HMO, so eventually I will want to switch to a better vet.

I've never been to this vet but I've always thought it looked amazing. Does anyone know anything about it? Maybe they could help, as they specialise in kitties.

Yes, I'm familiar with this vet and they are excellent. Expensive, but very good.

I've heard amazing things about their hypo-thyroid treatment program.

And they have a store as well that has great kitty stuff.
