I CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!! Thanks to my husband and one of the most embarrassing moments in my life!
We had Sammy for about 3 years and never had him nuetered. he never sprayed, yowled or caused any type of problem. When we moved to our house we ended up with a young female who was in heat. I brought her in and made the vet appointment. For the two days we had to wait she did everything sleazy she could do to get Sammy! She would back up under Sammy and do the elevator butt...he would run away! She would get in front of him and lay on her back and scoot under him...he would run away! She would climb on him and try to mount him...he would run away!
As I have said before, Sammy is his daddy's cat. Well my husband was just very distraught over this whole situation!! His big macho male cat was turning it down!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/eek.gif He would sit Sammy down and have long talks about the "birds and bees". I, of course, was loving this whole thing. It was hilarious to see hubby so uptight!!
Well the day came and we hauled little Missy (RB) to the vet. The doc examined her and we were ready to leave. Now the vets office is very, very small. One exam room with no door so everything is easily heard in the really small waiting room and the receptionist is practically in there with you. (Low overhead, low prices, GREAT vet) As we turn to walk out of the exam room door I hear my hubby say very loudly to the vet who is now walking away..."CAN A CAT BE GAY?? " I almost went through the floor!!! The receptionist bit tongue, cheek, and lip to keep from losing it! I could hear the snickering from the waiting room! I turn to look at the vet and he is smiling and trying not to lose it. He attempts to be serious because the look on my husbands face was so concerned!!! I wanted to smack him because he could have done this in a quieter fashion and just because he was so freaked that his furry son might not like girls!!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/o...es/biggrin.gif
The vet calmly explained that cats are finicky about all things. He said that Missy just didn't appeal to Sammy so he wasn't interested, and as far as anyone knows there are no homosexual animals. This satisfied the hubby because it now put the blame on poor little Missy. She just wasn't sexy enough for the Macho Sammy Boy!! MEN!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/mad.gif
The funny thing is folks is that hubby believes in gay rights. He thinks anybody should be allowed to do what they choose without being tormented by others.

Doogie and LilEli are both neutered males, that's what confused me. But Doogie just laid there taking it in stride.
Sometime my cats will fight , out of boredom , or just for excecise . But soon they are cuddling again , no harm done!

At least he has the sense to make the object of his desire a live one. Poor Ripley has had a life long love affair with an Oscar the Grouch puppet. Whenever he finds Oscar he bites him on the back of the head, drags him out in to the den and goes to it. He has impeccable timing too. Seems like he really likes to do this when company is over. He also likes to bring Oscar on the bed while we are sleeping. Now that's a gross thing to wake up to.
My husband has put Oscar away in a closet but Ripley knows how to open doors and when the mood strikes, here comes Oscar.
Oh yeah, Ripley has been neutered for over 11 years now - that doesn't seem to matter to him.
