You sound like a great friend jacksun!!
My cat also seems to like water. When he is up on something I don't want him to be on, I shake the squirt bottle and show it to him. Zezu comes running right up to me and paws at the nozzle until I squirt it near his mouth. He tries to catch the stream in his mouth for a nice cool drink.
