Background
Presently, on at least one anti-puppymill list, there is a flurry of
anecdotal reports of what appears to be a suspiciously high number of
rescued puppy-mill dogs whose jaws were broken in the mills.

[Speculation includes: Jaws are broken in the crude debarking methods
used by puppy-millers. Jaws are broken in response to/revenge for dogs
nipping at the millers. Jaws are broken to prevent starving mill-moms
from cannibalizing their puppies.]
