New foster dog!
This is Pacer. He joined our little pack earlier tonight. Pacer is a husky mix who has been at our shelter for almost a year. He's very timid, but sweet and gentle. He was becoming depressed at the shelter. There are some volunteers who take the shelter dogs to a fenced area on the weekends, but they can't take Pacer as they can't catch him again. You can imagine how sad he was watching his buddies leave for a run. So now he's here where he can run in a huge fenced area to his little heart's content!
This is in my truck on the way home--actually the McDonald's drive thru. He had a happy meal for a special treat.

Hanging out in the kitchen. I'd imagine it's the first time he's been inside a house!

So far he's fitting in well--very busy running around.
Welcome to the chaos little fella!

Pacer is a beautiful boy! His story tugged at my heart--he looks so sweet lying in the kitchen. He is such a lucky boy to get to move to your home, and to get McDonalds! I'm sure he'll adjust to the good life in no time. Thanks for all you do!

What a sweet looking boy. How lucky he is to get to go to a home!! How I wish I had the ability to foster poor puppies... :(

Thank you for giving him the freedom and running space he obviously needed, Glacier. Thank you!! I hope Pacer will find a very special home soon. :)

What a beautiful pup!! He sure does look likes he's one very, very happy boy!:) I can only imagine how comforting it felt for him to be spending his first night indoors:) Thanks so much for helping him!! And paws crossed that he finds his furever family very soon!

I don't know, are you sure he's a foster? Or, are you going to fail Fostering 101 again? If you are, congratulations! That beautiful pup deserves a loving home like yours.:D He had enough loneliness in his life after such a long time at the shelter...

Pacer is a gorgeous doggy!
Does he have two different colored eyes? I can't quite tell if he does or if it's just the flash.
He's so lucky to have you :) and your new fenced doggy run!!!
Thanks for sharing your pictures of this handsome new foster!

Running a shelter is a very noble thing. Thanks for giving Pacer and the others a home. He looks like one happy pup.

What a cutie! I can't imagine that he would be in a shelter for a year already. I would have thought someone would have adopted Pacer right away :( I'm glad you took him home.
