Volunteering

Me and my parents just talked about letting me volunteer at our animal shelter, and they said yes! I just e-mailed the shelter explaining everything. Please keep your fingers and paws crossed that they will accept me! :)

oh lucky you !! i wish i could volunteer, but our new nieborhood is too rittzy to have anykind of animal shelter and my mom can't driive me.:(

I failed dog walking 101. I ended up bringing home another dog :D lol, maybe you just might happen to find the perfect second doggie there for you too? who knows. Anyways, have fun volunteering there.

Awww, you're so lucky!:p I was planning on volunteering at an animal shelter here, but I had to be at least 16 to have contact with the animals.:( But I would've went anyways, they just didn't accept anymore volunteers at that time. So I'll wait until next summer probably, or a could volunteer at Petsmart;)

If it turns out that you have to be a certain age to volunteer, you can also see if you could volunteer by helping around the front desk or something else that isn't directly with the animals but still helps them out. Besides dog walking here, there's also web-design, taking pictures of the dogs, grooming, helping at the front desk and the list goes on.
