Childhood is...(poem)
For English class we had to write a poem about childhood, which each line had to begin "Childhood is"
I'm just finishing up mine, I'm so glad we're actually doing poetry now..
What do you guys think? It's sort of lame since I don't like having set rules when writing poetry.
Childhood is falling to the ground
Childhood is crying if there's no one around
Childhood is staying up late, with tired eyes
Childhood is catching fire flies
Childhood is camping in your backyard
Childhood is falling down fast and hard
Childhood is learning how to tie your shoe laces
Childhood is pretending to fly into open spaces
Childhood is skipping rocks
Childhood is overcoming chicken pocks
Childhood is watching morning cartoons
Childhood is demanding to eat only with a spoon
Childhood is short and sweet
Childhood should be cherished,
as you never know when it'll slip out from under your feet

Nice poem!! :) I don't have a "set rule" for poetry either...rhyming doesn't work with me, lol. :)

I really like it, Kay! You might want to change chicken pocks to chicken POX though! ;)

Here's the final copy -- Thanks guys.
I changed pocks to pox. ;)
Argh, It's amazing how low quality my camera is when the batteries are basically dead, lol.
I had to brighten it in PSP
