Another silly question.
When you are served food on a plate at a restaurant and it is put in front of you - do you turn the plate to your liking?
There were about a dozen of us at a restaurant and we had been talking about this earlier. When the food was served every single person turned their plate.
We all thought that was an odd quirk of human nature.

I never thought about it, but yes! I do! If I have fries and a burger, I like to turn my plate so that neither is "in front".. I like to be able to have both at the same time.. LOL!! Weird quirks! :)
-
YUP! I normally always turn it to the vegitables first.
-
I probably do but don't eat at restaurants very often so I don't really remember.
-
Most of the time I will turn the plate. (of course, sometimes they put it down correctly and I do not have too):D
-
Oh yes I'm a plate-turner! And I also don't like to have any of my food (like meat, potatoes, veggies) touching each other. Wierd, huh?!:p
-
Oh.... I voted before I read your question.
I though you were asking if we turned our plates WHILE we were eating.... and I voted no... but once I read your entire question.... yes... I do turn it to my liking when I'm served.
(NEKO.... I am the same way... NOTHING can touch!!!)
-
I don't really notice, but I think I do turn my plate:p
-
Oh yes, I turn my plate to my liking too. :D
-
Yes, I turn the plate quite frequently. And I agree - NOTHING can touch :D
-
um...It doesnt matter which way its facing..ILL EAT IT!
-
I ALWAYS turn my plate, as I want my meat right in front of me!!;) :p
ps. He he, Gini, I LOVE your "silly" polls! MORE please :p :p
-
I always turn my plate too. I eat one thing at a time until it is gone, then turn the plate to the next food. It drives my husband crazy. hehe.
-
I turn it so that the 'substance' of the meal is on my right side. I don't eat one thing at a time, and really don't care if stuff is touching or not, except, if it is my bread. Then, I put the bread on the ridge, out of the juice river. I hate soggy bread.
-
I turn it, but can't think why! Maybe it's so I have a good view and easy access to everything on the plate :)
