It is very bittersweet, Valerie, but also quite "human". Thank you, Alicia, for posting it, and to you, Valerie, for sharing it with the cat lovers. It is a very special photograph. :) Prayers for the kitties and the soldiers are constantly heading out from this house.

I'm curious about the location of the picture...do you know where it was taken? I try not to think about this so much, but aside from humans, pets and stray animals are the other victims of war...
