My great pyr. Bandit is mellow and doesn't play with us but you bet any change he gets he runs away and keeps running. I wonder is he may depressed?

Do you mind if I ask you a few more questions?
How old is Bandit? Does he stay inside or outside? Do you have other animals? Is your family gone from the house a lot? How long have you had Bandit?
I posted this on your other thread, but in my experience G. Pyrenese are just a rather lethargic breed. They are kind of known for just lounging and giving an almost lazy (for the lack of a better word) appearance. Great, great dog, low energy level.
As for the running, a lot of dogs do this. Obedience training is helpful (although the G.P. doesn't have the greatest track-record in obedience training) but I'm sure a lot of people here will be able to offer help.
