Oh, I have tears rolling down my face!! Danielle, I remember you so well and the great saddness you felt when you lost your precious puppy Cassie:( But I cried happy tears when I read about your new doggie Chance!!:) I'm so thrilled for you and your family!! Chance sounds like a VERY special doggie, so sweet and loving; already giving paw!!:D No doubt it was fate that brought the two of you together! Bless your heart for caring for this needy and deserving pup; for being able to open your heart and home up to another. I'll just bet Cassie had a little something to do with your "chance" meeting!;) And I'll bet Cassie is very happy to see her Mommy smiling once more! I'll be hoping and praying that your beautiful Chance stays healthy! All fingers and paws crossed for you and Chance at the vet's on Tues. And I agree; a new vet was definitely in order! Welcome Home beautiful Chance!!:) If you can, please do share some pics with us! {{{HUGS}}}

I'm sorry to hear about Cassie, but happy to hear about your new dog! I had a dog with parvo in my backyard about 3 years ago. I've brought a 1 year old dog home, and a 9 week old puppy home to live with me since then. It was against my vet's advice, but I couldn't help it. I bleached the porch, sanitized everything. Made sure they were vaccinated. No problems.

We had a foster dog that had parvo, DJ some will remember. Just as a precaution, the shelter he came from gave all our dogs a booster on the parvo vaccine free of charge.
One dog was a little over 1 year old, another was about 10 years old, and one dog was about 13 years old. Getting a parvo booster for Chance is a good idea, as insurance and peace of mind. :)

p.s. My dog that had parvo, Rosco...he'd had his shots and he got parvo anyways. It isn't always a guarantee. He did survive the parvo.

Hoping that all goes well at the vet's today, Danielle. Check in when you can!
