Tenting in Maine

I'm finally getting around to downloadind and posting pictures that we took last weekend. We were up in Saco, Maine, camping for 2 days and having a relaxing time. Malone had a blast with all the attention he got from all the fellow campers, and treats, and spending lots of quality time with us. There were so many good pictures, I had a hard time picking out a few, but here goes:

The last day, we finally went to the ocean. I was so excited that Malone was going swimming on his own free will, and was so excited to be doing so!!! :D Last year he really didn't like it, but this time he went jumping in without us prodding him!!!

I hope you enjoyed all the pictures!!! We really really had a blast, and are looking forward to going for a week in September!!!

Star is SO jealous, Mr. Malone!! What a great trip! All those new smells to investigate, snuggling at night in your tent, campfires to snooze by, swimming, (good boy!) retrieving and of course, food:D HOTDOGS!!!:eek: Welcome home!:) (P.S...loved your pawprints in the sand!)

I love your pictures! Malone is such a cutie!:D I think my favorite is him swimming in from the ocean. Bailey would love to do that, I think. The footprints picture is pretty cool as well. I am glad you all had a great time!

Great pictures!!!!! Malone looks like he had a ball! I love the pictures of him in the ocean. I keep promising Bella a trip to the beach one of these days so I'd better not let her see Malone having so much fun. The paw prints in the sand are so cute! Hope everyone had a fun-filled refreshing time. :)

Aw Malone is one gorgeous boy!

The water looks so nice and blue. We're use to kind
of muddy water down here. Bet that water's cold though.
Ours is like bath water.:)

Did you have to deal with any bugs, like ticks?

Thank you so much for the nice compliments and sweet words. :) We have no doubt that Star, and Bailey and Bella would just love to go,too!! It's the dogs life out there!

Glad everybody liked the paws in the sand pic. That was the last pic on the camera (we didn't take the digi to the beach) and I took it only on a whim.

Par, yes the water was *cold*. Malone was the only one swimming the entire length of the beach and we walked for at least 2 miles. I waded in several times, but my toes went numb after a minute or so.

No ticks really, but the mosquitos were really bad. We couldn't stay out at night unless we had a campfire going since the smoke drove them away. That's the one real drawback to camping. I love every other aspect.
