Tuxedo breed?

Hello. I have heard the term "Tuxedo cat" a few times. Is "Tuxedo" an actual breed or just a nick-name for the black and white variety of cats?

My handsome boy "Louie" is definately a "tuxedo" as you can see!

It is just a "style" of cat ...... not even all black and whites are considered tuxedos .... though many people call them that. It is mainly the ones that actually look they are wearing a tuxedo! hehe I LOVE your kitty and would love to have him on my B&W cats' page!

The way I thoght it was , was that a Tuxedo Cat is mostly a solid color , with a white front , like the dress shirt that is worn with the Tuxedo Jacket! If I am incorrect , please correct me!
