Jack is the same way. If he hears us pick up the flashlight he will come running and wait for us to turn it on. I usually play this game w/ him before bed so that he is tired out and won't keep us up. The best is to get him to go in circles a couple of times and then get him to chase it in a straight line...he can't do it because he's dizzy from going in circles.
