my poem about getting my dog, sandy!
hey everyone, i wrote this poem and id like to share, ill share more poems, soon, but this is one of my favorites.....
What do I remember about getting my dog?
I remember coming home before Christmas,
I remember seeing a box with holes poked into it,
The excitement of an early Christmas present,
The holes I peeked into,
The box my brother and I ripped open in anticipation,
What do I remember about getting my dog?
I remember the small, whitish-tan creature sleeping on the floor,
As she opened her eyes,
My life began as she jumped into my hands,
Chasing her tail and playing with me,
We came up with a name, we named her Sandy,
The cutest yellow lab you would EVER see,
And there she was, licking me!
For days and days I wouldn’t sleep,
For I was too happy playing with my 5 week old puppy
We froze these moments,
With pictures and portraits
Done by professionals and by ME!
Now she is six,
But still cute as ever,
And forget these moments, I WILL NEVER!
