We're working on it :)(pics)

Well, we let all the kids meet and spend time together today. Chester and Bruce are doing remarkably well together. Millie is still terrified of him, but she is getting a bit better. I think Bruce understands that Chester is the boss. He hasn’t tried to challenge him in any way yet, but of course we are there to make them all behave since we are the alphas. Granny could care less. She wants to check Bruce out all the time and she’s beginning to horseplay with Chester and Millie a little bit herself.

We’re going to take this slow, but I think Bruce may be staying here permanently. We just have to see if things continue to go as well as they did today. At any rate, I’m making his appointment for neutering tomorrow, but I don’t know how soon they’ll be able to do it. Hopefully they can get him in pretty quickly.

He’s also crate trained (just have tell him to kennel up) and LOVES to be in the house, either in the crate or not. Man, Katt you said it. These dogs are couch potatoes!!!

Yep, when he crawled in that little, bitty bed and gave me those eyes, I started crying and I told Michael we would try hard to make it work. :D

It's so tough--on one hand, you want to keep Bruce, but you also don't want to stress out the other furkids!!

Until December it was just Chester. He was an only child, but he really is so much happer with his playmates now. He never used to know how to play with other dogs and now he's the one always trying to get everyone to play.

Granny is officially (at the vet & groomer) Aneko (your suggestion:D ), but at home she's Granny or Na Na. :)

It's funny, when we had everyone leashed, there was so much more tension. We unleashed the little 3 and kept Bruce tethered, so that he could start learning his house manners, and everything was instantly better.

I do dog intros at the shelter for people who are considering adopting. I've noticed this with little dogs A LOT. Even if it looks like the little one wants to kill the other, sometimes removing the leash from the little guy works wonders :)
