My grandma's shi tzu Tia, has very pink skin in the winter, and mottle black skin in the summer. It is very noticable how it changes on her tummy.
Does anyone know why her skin changes colour? My grandma would really like to know, thanks :)

Don't know why, but could it be the sun???
I thought that too, but the spots are mostly on her tummy, and the sun doesn't get on her tummy  She does spend alot of time outside though....hmmm.....
If she is outside, she may like to lie on her back with her belly exposed .......... which means "suntan" = spotted skin?
Also, if she lies with her tummy on hot ground it could also change the colour ...............
Oooh, maybe, thanks! I think that might be it, I'll talk to my grandma :)
Tia goes outside alot lol. My grandma lives on a houseboat so Tia gets to soak up the rays ;) My papa also has a paper route and so she walks for 4 hours every morning  The sun in probably why, because she doesn't go out as often in winter :D :o
Thanks! :)
