RIP Miles

I wrote asking for rabbit help a little while ago and I am sorry to say that Miles passed away on the way to the vet tonight. He was the best boy in the whole world and we will miss him like crazy. I am in total shock. :(

Does anyone know where I can find some information on how I can make this easier on Ella? (Miles's bonded female...they were best buds) I know she will be depressed for a while but is there anything we can do to make it a little less stressful for her?

What about a new friend for Ella. She might not take to a new bun but it must be worth a try ?

I am so sorry to hear about Miles. He looked like a very sweet and special bunny. Your best bet for info is start a thread that asks the question and mentions rabbit in the title. that way all those knowledgeable about rabbits are sure not to miss it. Best of luck with dear Ella, and hugs to you.

I am so sorry for the loss of Miles. He was an adorable bun-bun. I think you might pm ZippyKat or Karen, or Floppsyladysally...they are bun-friendly, and hopefully can help you with dealing with Ella. RIP Miles.

I'm so sorry.:( I hope Miles is happy and out of pain at Rainbow Bridge. Ella must be upset just like you.......hope everyone feels better. Miles was such a pretty boy.

As for grieving Ella, bless her heart, spend LOTS of extra time with her (this, of course, calls for extra parsley ;) ). That's the best advice I can give you. This is one of the reasons I prefer "single" buns to bonded pairs--it breaks my heart to see them grieve. :(

NOT to scare you but....
I would take Ella to the vet ASAP incase Miles had something contagious. I WOULD NOT purchase a new bunny friend until Ella has had a check-up.

You might PM Daisylover for advice... she's a bunny behaviorist.
