I've never owned a hampster..but I'd do a combination of the choices listed above. I'd research it on the internet...see if it's common...if it's serious...and then call the vet...tell him/her what you think it might be (if you can find out) or just ask what they think it would be...it wouldn't hurt to call
Is it still wet?
The only thing similiar I could think happening to mine was if they had walked near and rubbed against the water bottle.
Does she live with any other hamsters?
goto a vet, it sounds like seriouse, it could be wet tail. hamsters are very suseptible to things like this. it might also be cancerious, or mites. so I'd ask a vet asap!!
