My vet was telling me about something (floride?) you can put in dogs drinking water to help their teeth stay healthy and strong. I forgot to ask him about it with all the Penny drama. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

When I was growing up (in the 50's & 60's) my Mom put liquid floride in my milk for years and to this day I have very strong teeth. Not sure where she bought it but I assume it was in a drug store. Don't know about giving it to dogs though. Maybe ask the vet??
I'd just call the vet up again and ask where you could get it.
Yes - your right - I should call the vet again. I just thought I could save some money (her vet bills have been pretty high), if anyone knew of an alternative. :o
My vet has told me that flouride can be toxic to dogs. So I would definitely ask your vet about it. I use a doggie toothpaste made for dogs that has no flouride.
