Elvis Sprained His Knee

Poor Elvis! We just got back from the vet and he badly sprained his left knee.

I was making coffee this morning and heard what I thought was a horrific cat fight in the bedroom. Which is weird because we haven't had a cat fight in years. Anyway, I went tearing in there with the squirt bottle and there was Elvis hanging off the end of the bed with his leg caught between the mattress and the foot board! You should have heard him....it broke my heart! :( So I hollared for Chris and he helped me extract him. He wasn't putting any weight on it and he actually growled at me when I was feeling for a break. I didn't even know Elvis *could* growl. I didn't feel anything broken but he was so painful I took him right in.

The vet didn't feel a break (thank god!) but said that he has a bad sprain. He gave him some pills for pain and said to keep him quiet. Luckily Elvis is always laid back and quiet. Whew, quite a morning! Elvis is resting comfortably on his pillow.

Elvis, Dude! You're having a rough time lately!! Visits to the vet, little kittens mistaking you for Mom, and now a bum leg! :eek: That is almost enough to use up one of your nine lives!

I hope you recover quickly from your adventures and have a calm summer full of love and NO mishaps!

Oh no! Poor Elvis! Such trauma for a kitty that's been through so much lately. Elvis, you must get better quickly, because how can you swivel those lovely hips of yours if you have a sprained knee? ;)

Poor Elvis! Sounds like you need some R & R time at the Heartbreak Hotel.... Hope you heal quickly Elvis.
