Ice Cream!! <pic>
In preparation for Nebo's Birthday, I decided to make some doggy ice cream. I can't find Frosty Paws anywhere, so I used this recipe: http://www.recipegoldmine.com/pets/pets100.html
I used plain yogurt instead of vanilla (if you make it with vanilla, make sure you don't any "light" kind flavored with aspertame instead of sugar...I've heard that's bad for dogs...) and just bought the yogurt in the individual cups (used five 8 oz ones) and used the cups to put it in afterwards. I also used 2 medium sized containers of banana baby food.
The mixture filled up six 8 oz yogurt cups.....I froze them tonight. I decided to give the dogs a taste test. Oh boy, did they ever LOVE that!!! It does rather look like homemade vanilla ice cream too!
Happy dogs! :D
