Breeding! Breeding! Breeding! I could be wrong though:) Good Question:)
Shes right, Breeding Breeding, Breeding, Breeding, Alot of different types of wolves Bread together.
Yes there were different wolves used, from different origins. Take the Shiba Inu for example, normally about a 25 pound dog, was bred from a Japanese mountain wolf which are much smaller then artic or timber wolves we have over on this side of the world.
I would say that inbreeding would have had to play a part.
Breeding played a big roll.
Mini Schnauzers were created from breeding the Standard Schnauzer with smaller breeds. The opposite is true for the Giant. The Standard was bred to larger breeds like the Great Dane.
That is a very well point made. I am going to look that up. Do you want me to inform you when i get info?
yes..please let me know.:)
I no this sounds really dumb but what if a teensy dog like a yorkie or chiwawa(sp i know!) crossbred with like a gunia pig, I wonder if that could really happen?
It's not possible. Animals must be of the same species to reproduce. This couldn't happen, just like humans and monkeys couldn't breed. Or a cat and a chihuahua.Quote:

micki is right, it's impossible. Even animals that look very much alike, like dogs and foxes, or dogs and hyenas can't breed. Even if they could try...;)
That would be funny, but have you ever heard of a Cabit?
